Beth Derks from No Double Dutch, is delighted to be part of My Grand Idea initiated by Ryan Holt. Ryan was one of the success stories coming out of the YES project (Young Entrepreneurs Succeed). For this project she wrote the concept and together with Lianne Miller and Enterprise Lowestoft she selected and developed over twenty budding young entrepreneurs into confident and pro-active citizens wanting to realize their potential and making a change!.

Beth has over the years initiated many projects for young people. She has...

Set up an annual international youth exchange.

Secured a £70,000 from The Department of Education to run a two year project in six schools in Waveney to raise the inspiration and aspiration of Gifted and Talented students (see www.gtwaveney.co.uk).

Set up a Cooking Café in Southwold for the young and 50+ to enjoy healthy cooking and eating in a fun and relaxed way

Helped secure funding (over £600,000) for many (youth sports) organizations in the area.

Her consultancy NO DOUBLE DUTCH is all about changing mindsets into a ‘Can DO’ attitude. Beth has a profound belief that if one identifies what it is that one wants to achieve, then with the right help and a small step approach to a clear bigger aim, it can happen.

As an experts in creative thinking, and a wealth of experience in creating new ideas and the discovery of original solutions to existing problems, she is looking forward to help the candidates develop dreams !
